Keep Yourself Prepared

Keep Yourself Prepared

So you, too, must keep watch! For you do not know the day or hour of my return.”

MATTHEW 25:13

Jesus Christ desires to speak with us just as his father spoke to him. He desires to speak to us and have us take up the task for which he speaks. Often, God will speak within the spirit of a person, but the person does not respond.

Being equipped is being prepared day or night for the call from God - for the assignment. To be rightly related to Jesus is to be ready, prepared and waiting such that when the call comes, there is no preparation needed - nothing to grab, no thing is missing. It is simply time to go.

Often, the initial call of God begins in the small detail and builds through obedience and faith. Prepare for the call of God and at once say, "Here I am!"

Obedience is the purpose for what comes next with Jesus. There is no forward progress without obedience as obedience is the lifeblood of faith. The Lord is always communicating in the spirit, when you are communicating with him. This is how he provides directions and tells you what he wants you to do. It is in doing the things he asks that brings about new opportunities and levels of growth with The Lord. There is no evidence of faith without obedience to Jesus through the Holy Spirit.

“If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work.” 2 Timothy 2:21

“So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.” Hebrews 4:14-15

“Christ is the visible image of the invisible God.” Colossians 1:15

“The Father and I are one.” John 10:30

“But I will send you the Advocate—the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about me.” John 15:26

“God replied to Moses, “I am who I am.”” Exodus 3:14
