New Believers

These are some encouraging truths written in the Bible to start you on the journey of following King Jesus.
There are (3) things necessary to begin a new life with Jesus.
- Ask Jesus to come into your heart and accept him as Lord and Savior by Faith.
- Ask Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins through a repentant heart.
-
Be obedient to God - Obedience to God occurs through the Holy Spirit and a repentant heart and is the evidence of a new life through Jesus. Obedience to God is done by doing the two things Jesus says.
- Love the Lord with all of heart, soul and mind.
- Love your Neighbor as yourself.
A New Life With Jesus — 7-Day Devotional
Theme: Beginning the journey of faith, trusting God, and living a transformed life.
Day 1 — A Love That Started It All
Scripture: John 3:16
God’s love is the starting point of your journey. You didn’t earn it, and you don’t have to prove yourself to receive it. Salvation begins with believing that God loves you deeply and personally.
Reflect:
Where do you need to accept God’s love instead of trying to earn it?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for loving me first. Help me receive Your love and believe that You gave Your Son for me.
Day 2 — Trust Beyond Understanding
Scripture: Proverbs 3:5–6
Following Jesus means trusting God even when life doesn’t make sense. Faith grows when we choose to lean on God’s wisdom instead of our own.
Reflect:
What situation in your life feels uncertain right now?
Prayer:
Father, I surrender my understanding to You. Guide my steps and lead me on the right path.
Day 3 — Saved by Grace
Scripture: Ephesians 2:8–10
Your new life is a gift. You don’t have to strive to earn God’s approval—He has already given it through grace. Now you are free to live out the good plans He prepared for you.
Reflect:
How does knowing salvation is a gift change the way you see yourself?
Prayer:
Thank You, God, for saving me by grace. Help me walk in the purpose You created for me.
Day 4 — A Brand New Life
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17
In Christ, your past no longer defines you. You are made new. This transformation happens daily as you walk with Him.
Reflect:
What old habits or thoughts do you need to leave behind?
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for making me new. Help me live today in the freedom of my new life.
Day 5 — Strength for the Journey
Scripture: Isaiah 40:31 & Philippians 4:13
God gives strength for every season. When you feel tired, discouraged, or overwhelmed, He renews your energy and helps you keep going.
Reflect:
Where do you need God’s strength today?
Prayer:
Lord, renew my strength. Help me trust that I can face today through You.
Day 6 — Peace Instead of Worry
Scripture: Philippians 4:6–7
God invites you to bring every worry to Him. Prayer replaces anxiety with peace that goes beyond human understanding.
Reflect:
What worries do you need to release to God right now?
Prayer:
God, I give You my worries. Fill me with Your peace and help me trust You with everything.
Day 7 — Living in Hope and Love
Scripture: Romans 8:28 & Romans 15:13
God is working in every part of your life for good. As you grow in faith, your life becomes rooted in hope, joy, and love.
Jesus taught that obedience is simple but powerful:
- Love God with all your heart.
- Love your neighbor as yourself.
Reflect:
How can you show love to someone today?
Prayer:
God of hope, fill me with joy and peace. Help me love You fully and love others well.
Closing Encouragement
Your journey with Jesus is not about perfection—it’s about daily faith, repentance, and obedience. As you continue walking with Him, you will grow in love, peace, strength, and hope.
