The Bible provides many dates, ages and references of historical events. All of which create a timeline that is constructed backwards through specifically dated and verifiable events.

Battle of Megiddo | 609 | Egypt was joining with the Assyrian (Syria) forces to go and fight the forces of the Babylonians (Iraq), led by Nebuchadnezzar and the Medes (Iran / Persia). To get there, the Egyptian Army had to pass through Israel Territory and King Josiah would not allow this, so he attacked him in the Megiddo valley. Josiah was killed and Israel Defeated. Egypt and Syria were defeated shortly thereafter by Iran and Iraq forces. | |

Matthew says - 1. Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. Herod reigned until 1 bc. 2. Wise men (astrologers) came to Jerusalem and asked King Herod if the King was born because they were following a star that led them there. (Astrological Event) Rising of Jupiter to move towards Venus creating a slowly moving star in the sky, meeting at its brightest point, over Jerusalem on 9/11/3 bc 3. King Herod ordered his soldiers to kill every born son in and around Bethlehem who were 2 years old or under, based on the wise mens' report of the stars first appearance. Two years had passed from the time the star event occurred on 9/11/3 bc and the time of Herod's order to Kill the babies and before his death. |
