Living In The Spirit

Living In The Spirit

"But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.)"

ROMANS 8:9

To live by the spirit is to live like the wind. It is not visible, but the wind is most certainly real. The Spirit of God is the same. To know God is to know Jesus. To know Jesus is to walk with him - to be shown his way of life. This can only be done by living in the present moment dependent on God. He lives in the current moment.

To live in the spirit is to be guided by Jesus - his way - the way - it is the opposite of the way most live in this world. The purpose of this time is written - not to be changed. Seek Jesus - seek the Holy Spirit with all your heart and mind and be free in Jesus Christ.

The nature of the natural lived life is one in which the unknown creates fear and anxiety. Whereas the nature of the spiritual life is to live life in the unknown. The spiritual life is guided by being aligned to God. It is in him that we are certain. The spiritual person is concentrated on God while walking in the unknown.

“The wind blows wherever it wants. Just as you can hear the wind but can’t tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can’t explain how people are born of the Spirit.” John 3:8

“He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him.” John 14:17

“The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.” 2 Peter 3:9

“For the time has come for judgment, and it must begin with God’s household. And if judgment begins with us, what terrible fate awaits those who have never obeyed God’s Good News?” 1 Peter 4:17

“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18
