Love Is The Answer

Love Is The Answer

“Someone came to Jesus with this question: “Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?” ”Why ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good.”

MATTHEW 19:16-17

Jesus came so that his life - his spirit - his love can pour through us from him. He is the river of living water and from his life all life is given. There is no standard of good - only to be given over to Christ.

When life is lived based on the personal notion of making good deeds your goal, the enemy than becomes the good deeds because the focus is not on loving another person - but rather you fulfilling your mission of good deeds. A standard of good deeds become the law within yourself - and no person can live up to a doctrine of good deeds. Life in Jesus is based on faith and doing his will. God has chosen your path and he asks you to walk with him along the path so he will guide you.

The Holy Spirit provided by Jesus is the fuel that is needed for his will to be done. This becomes an unconscious act of devotion to the Living Holy Spirit that dwells within and produces the results the Lord as prepared. The mission is to pursue faith actions as directed by The Holy Spirit.

“Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked. “Only God is truly good.” Mark 10:18

“Abel became a shepherd, while Cain cultivated the ground. When it was time for the harvest, Cain presented some of his crops as a gift to the Lord. Abel also brought a gift—the best portions of the firstborn lambs from his flock. The Lord accepted Abel and his gift, but he did not accept Cain and his gift.” Genesis 4:2-5

“It was by faith that Abel brought a more acceptable offering to God than Cain did. Abel’s offering gave evidence that he was a righteous man, and God showed his approval of his gifts.” Hebrews 11:4

“You have come to Jesus, the one who mediates the new covenant between God and people, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks of forgiveness instead of crying out for vengeance like the blood of Abel.” Hebrews 12:24
