"Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established."
PROVERBS 16:3
When we lose sight of God, our vision of him is lost. We will create an internal moral compass of rules that anguish our decisions of right and wrong. With our eyes focused on God, this provides motivational incentive to be diligent in the purpose of God. Without our vision concentrated on God, rules are formed based on the idea of God which does not create action. Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness.
Rules are a set of standards thought worthy of a higher life. The truth is, rules are the law - they are works, empty and devoid of purpose. There is only one will and one vision - this instills one purpose - to do the will of the Lord your God. In his will, everything is perfect and you are set free.
Lose yourself, your thoughts, and your judgments. Be free of mental persecution in the thought of standards to fulfill obedience to God. Jesus has set the captives free - we are the captives. Be free in him - his spirit - his truth - his way. There is but one way to heaven - Christ Jesus. He is King of the world. He asks simply for obedience to him and to do what he asks - his ask is for us to love our neighbor as ourselves. This is obedience to God.
“But now we have been released from the law, for we died to it and are no longer captive to its power. Now we can serve God, not in the old way of obeying the letter of the law, but in the new way of living in the Spirit.” Romans 7:6
“For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” 2 Corinthians 3:17
“So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.” Romans 8:1-4
“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” Galatians 6:9
