The Lord Comforts

“Is anything too hard for the Lord?"

GENESIS 18:14

In days of gloom and less interest seek the Lord fervently. In times of self-pity and doubt abandon yourself to God's will. God takes you on many journeys - emotional rollercoasters getting you fit for his race. He provides glimpses of heaven - feelings of immense joy and perfection. 

Even in your dark hour - seek the Lord - his strength - his love. Stand and praise him for allowing you to be shaped and built strong for him. In weakness, be bold for Jesus. It is here you are made perfect in his image. 

There are always moments where we feel better than our typical best. We feel like we can accomplish anything. We have to hold onto these moments and hold ourselves accountable to them for the times of mundane boredom which lead to spiritual laziness. 

Through the Holy Spirit the light is in you as you seek it. Seek the Lord Jesus in the mundane and tiresome just as in the times of blessing and fruitfulness. 

“Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18 

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.” Psalm 34:18 

“”My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.”” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 

“Your eye is like a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is filled with light. But when it is unhealthy, your body is filled with darkness. Make sure that the light you think you have is not actually darkness. If you are filled with light, with no dark corners, then your whole life will be radiant, as though a floodlight were filling you with light.” Luke 11:34-36
