The Most Valuable Resource

"We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love."

1 JOHN 4:16

Love is not scheduled; it is not timed. It is not planned or construed. It is given by God - to be given in the moment of its need. To be with God is to know love. To be joined with Jesus is to be filled with Love. With Jesus - his love pours from us without desired application of choice. 

The love of Jesus flows freely like a rushing river of living water. With him as your focus, you will find yourself in situations - responding with kindness and patience, without your personal will ahead of another. 

Love derives from God and his Holy Spirit. We cannot command love to be worked out within ourselves without him. When the Holy Spirit is working in us, we become rightly aligned with the way of Jesus without conscious effort, which allows his love to be transferred to the one near us in need of it.

Love is a resource. It is the resource that is needed to fuel your journey in The Way. Without it, you will not get where you want to go. Like all valuable resources, it is not found everywhere, but rather it is hidden and must be sought out for discovery.

Love keeps you going, when you have nothing left. Love comforts when sadness devastates you. Love allows you to turn the other cheek and forgive someone when they really hurt you. Love calms you down when stress and anxiety become overwhelming. Love accepts you as being born on purpose. Love allows your heart to remain soft even in the worst pain. Love will unclutter your mind in the most difficult situations. Loves provides the courage to overcome fearful situations. Love is the strongest when it is needed the most. 

God is Love and Jesus is God. 

Jesus is love. 

Jesus is The Way.

“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Galatians 5:13-14 

“Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs.” Proverbs 10:12 

“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” 1 John 4:7-8 

“Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.” John 7:38
