The Source That Fuels

The Source That Fuels

“Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.”

JOHN 7:38

God is Love - the very nature of him is Love. He loves us, not because we are lovable, but because it is his nature. We are called to love in his way. To love those that we are placed around without condition - without premise - without judgement - regardless of any other thing.  Jesus was always healing, loving, teaching, guiding, and showing his way by how he lived. This took effort, intention and discipline. He woke up each day with the single purpose of doing his father's will. We are called to do the same. The love of Jesus is not conditional to only like minded - affiliated people - that is human selective love - and this type of love shows affiliations and divides. It is not love at all.

To pour love from you, you must consciously choose to act and obey the word of the Lord. To love one another - to love your neighbor - this is exhibited by helping - teaching - giving - guiding - without conditional circumstantial judgment. Always allow the Lord to work his word - his voice - and his ear into your flesh. It is him in you - his spirit that provides wisdom, knowledge and love.

To choose the Lord Jesus Christ is divine. Let him live through you in all situations. He is the sovereign perfect Lord, and we as humans are dependent on his love and his way to eternal life. A nation divided will not stand and nations are divided by quarreling people that refuse to love others with different opinions. Though you may not agree with the thoughts and actions of others - the love of Jesus is what brings about change in all people - it opens doors of calm dialogue and finds commonality. When you focus on Jesus rather than convincing others that you are right - he will give you the words to say and allow you to hear other words and not be offended.

“But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him. Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.” 1 John 2:5-6

“Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.” Psalm 119:105

“But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.” James 1:22

“When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths.” 1 Corinthians 2:13
