True Leaders Serve

True Leaders Serve

"So be on guard; then you will not be carried away by the errors of these wicked people and lose your own secure footing. Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."

2 PETER 3:17-18

Be not so distracted in being Christian and identified with Christ Jesus that you get ahead of the progress that the Lord is teaching you. Ask not what the Lord can do for you, but rather what you can do for your Lord. It is this paradigm of servitude that accompanies the encouragement and teaching of Jesus Christ.

It is less about leading and more about serving. As you lose sight of the perceived needs of men and focus solely on the Lords will - All will be divine in perfect harmony through Christ Jesus. Your spirit will be given completely over and your complete and full new life in Jesus is born.

“You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food. For someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn’t know how to do what is right. Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong.” Hebrews 5:12-14

“So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God.” Hebrews 6:1

“You know that the rulers in this world lord it over their people, and officials flaunt their authority over those under them. But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of everyone else.” Mark 10:42-44
