Understanding Serving

"My Kingdom is not an earthly kingdom. If it were, my followers would fight to keep me from being handed over to the Jewish leaders. But my Kingdom is not of this world.”
JOHN 18:36
The only service that should be performed is that which is the will of God. That will is love in the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus walked all the way to death with knowledge that his pure obedience to God - the Spirit within - would bring salvation to all who call on his Holy name.
The truth is we are his - he is our King - his Spirit within is his will being manifested through obedience to him. Therefore, I give all of myself - and I call on Jesus - my King and Savior to fill this flesh with his Holy Spirit - to be used by him in all things for his grace.
The Kingdom of heaven is not like any Kingdom on earth. The Kingdom of Heaven is for the servants of the most high - those who desire not to be rulers but servers. To be the greatest in Heaven - you must be willing to be the least of all people. Jesus is the cornerstone and the standard for all who desire to be great.
“You know that the rulers in this world lord it over their people, and officials flaunt their authority over those under them. But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:25-28
He sat down, called the twelve disciples over to him, and said, “Whoever wants to be first must take last place and be the servant of everyone else.” Mark 9:35
“And since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other’s feet. I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you.” John 13:14-15
