Worth The Wait

Worth The Wait

“But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life."

1 TIMOTHY 1:16

Patience is not laziness or uncaring, but rather a strength that can withstand all obstacles in the interim of the vision being fulfilled. When you have a vision from God, the Holy Spirit will stir the drive to be patient in knowing that the vision is of God. At the same time, human nature and the spirit of the enemy will fight against this patience to prevent the Lord's vision from being completed through you.

If you are living life driven by personal satisfaction, you can be assured that you have given in to the world. The vision and purpose of God is eternal. It is not a once and done moment of satisfaction. The spirit is all the time. Jesus did not heal by appointment, he healed because it was the will of his father. Rest not in personal satisfaction but strive to be free in the Holy Spirit to always be doing the Lord's will.

God's visions and dreams come to fruition by faith. The final pressing occurs alone with God, and by faith in the Lord alone, he opens the new victorious life prepared by him. This victory is achieved by using experienced faith that has endured squeezing and pressing out the last of your natural thoughts about dependency.

“Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.” 1 John 2:15-16

“Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.” Colossians 3:2

“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter.” Matthew 7:21

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

“The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the Lord.” Lamentations 3:25-26

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalm 27:14
